As you all know, Cake is basically inactive. I'm not sure when he'll be back.
I have a few questions.
  • If I'm able to get cake-kun.com up and running again, what changes would you like to see?
  • If I'm not, what would you like to see in a new site of a similar nature?
  • Should I forward the domain for cake-kun.com to a new site and slowly replace it (since I'm not cake)?
  • Should I use a new domain, what should I name it?

I'll give you an example. This is what I'm thinking.

1. I'd like a complete rebuild of the site. A site wide theme, a download manager (as suggested by "Protozoid"), faster updates with tools, faster response/system to apply faster response to the chat, a desktop app to go with the chat, and a few random ideas that aren't worth mentioning.
2. A new chat with actual moderation powered by sql with set names for reach admin/mod that can't be touched by users. Also, everything I mentioned in 1.
3. Yes.
4. I would find something with similar qualities to the site I intend to build and use a variation of that name for the name of this project. This is something I'd never considered before being on the ZeroZaku development team.

Edit
I signed in to Cake-kun and noticed that it expires in June. I have no idea if he's going to be around in June or what his plans are. Should he return, this may change, but, for now, http://cake-kun.com/ is forwarded to http://wonoes.com. The chat is currently being uploaded to wonoes and I'll be moving the downloads over as well.

As I was never active on it, I truly have no idea what I'd like to see.
AJAX Chat (You showed me one a while back that was pretty pro), Forums?, Download section that includes more?
Yes.
No idea.

We have a chat, but I hate it. I'm considering creating a new chat, which actually has its own uses and could be released as a valid alternative to YShout. Perhaps we could make some money from that.

Forums are a huge no. Everyone and his/her mother has a forum these days. It'd just detract traffic from the majority and make this community of "hackers" even less unified. A complete waste.

The download section may actually include less. A few patches have been made, and I'm not sure we have much to make that falls under the category of "safe for public use."
Maybe a suggestions system?

Lol @ this kid.
Uh seeing as how you aren't into releasing newly found exploits to the public..
Possibly small sided projects that could be used for learning purposes?

You have 10 people releasing clients/bots/exploits, and x10000 people clicking the buttons on them not knowing what actually is occurring.

I personally would like to see some of your other work that isn't Gaia related.
